ENHANCING TECHNICAL
TRAINING IN SENEGAL
CATERPILLAR PROVIDES THE CFTP SJ WITH AN ENGINE WORTH $20,000
Saudequip – the representative in Senegal for JA Delmas, the Cat dealer in West African Countries –
has donated a Caterpillar 3406 engine worth over $20,000 to the Senegal-Japan center of professional
and technical training (CFPT-SJ).
Several official guests honored the donation award
ceremony with their presence, amongst whom were:
the leading technical advisor of the Ministry of Employ-
ment, Professional Training, Learning and Integration,
the chairman of the CFPT’s board, the representative
for the Dakar education authority inspector, and a rep-
resentative of the director for professional and technical
training.
They all heartily commended the initiative, which will
greatly contribute towards enhancing the practical train-
ing provided to students, as well as their knowledge of
Cat engine technology.
Saudequip and Caterpillar actively participate in the
training of young people, thanks to a partnership with
CFTP-SJ established in 2016, for training and recruit-
ing young technicians having completed programs in
electromechanical engineering or heavy-machinery
maintenance.
Several young people who came through the Saude-
quip-CFPT-SJ partnership now have a great career at
Saudequip.
